I study Etty's writting and continue to find new insights that I had missed before. She is truely my hero and inspiration. When I have gone through challanges in my life I draw on Etty and practice her message of loving life and God. Any difficult day I might have I am automatically reminded of Etty and the suffering she endured while holding the spirit of light. I recently watched a documentary highlighting young Jewish women in Israel who are so changed by their year of compulsary military service. Girls who have stories of humiliating and even killing while in service. I was heartsick as I thought how Etty's message has not managed to shine over the ongoing hatred, revenge and violence that continues. However, in my life she will always be very close to my heart and I will continue to study her words and hold Etty up as the person I would like to be.
