David Kode is a senior research and policy officer for CIVICUS. He coordinates the human rights defenders project on Africa and works with civil society organizations on the continent to effect change from below, engage in human rights advocacy, and promote and protect the rights of citizens in countries where they are targeted by state and non-state actors. He is originally from Cameroon.
