Genevieve Yue is a Consortium for Faculty Diversity postdoctoral fellow at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She received her Ph.D. in the Critical Studies program at the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California, where in 2012 she defended a dissertation entitled “Medusan Optics: Film, Feminism, and the Forbidden Image.” She is managing editor of Discourse: Journal for Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture, and her essays and criticism have appeared in Reverse Shot, Grey Room, The LA Weekly, Moving Image Source, Cinema Scope, Artforum.com, Film Comment, and Film Quarterly.
