Tomorrow, WNV editor Laura Gottesdiener will be speaking at the CUNY Graduate Center about her reporting on housing activism, which first appeared here on Waging Nonviolence. Join her and WNV writer Grace Davie for an evening of conversation and debate over the strengths and limitations of storytelling for social change.
Other participants will include Rachel Falcone and Michael Premo of Housing Is a Human Right; Amin Husain, Annie Spencer, and Pamela Brown of Strike Debt; Megan Sheehan of the Vermont Workers Center’s Health Care is a Human Right Campaign; Dr. Margaret Flowers of Physicians for a National Health Care Program, Kimber Heinz and Ali Issa of the Facing Tear Gas Project, and Jill Williams from the truth commission project called A People’s Investigation of Money, Debt, and Power.
