“What is recognized as the truth must be lived beyond anything we may have thought possible if it is to approach the critical spirit of a transforming energy.”
— James Douglass
This week we deepen our exploration of truth, transformation and nonviolence with a quote from James Douglass. As the power of nonviolence grows in us, it begins to transform us, which in turn transforms others and grows the movement for change.
I discuss this idea through the lens of “Six interrelated layers of knowing and learning” from Tobin Hart: information, knowledge, intelligence, understanding, wisdom, transformation. This process maps out how we start with input and work with it through our experiences, growing and changing along the way.
Dear Ms. Pelicaric:
Namaste, Salam, Shalom, Peace, Paz, Solh, Paix, Pyeongwha!
I humbly would like to ask you to contact me to discuss a plan for a Global Movement of Nonviolence (GMofNV) that can begin in 2022. All the mechanisms are in place and the strategy to begin the movement is prepared. One last step remains.
A GMofNV has been presented to UN Sec-General Antonio Guterres’ staff and I am planning to return to meet with Guterres to se the last step in motion.
Thank you very much. I look forward to hearing from you.
Peace and Love,
Andre Sheldon
Director, Global Strategy of Nonviolence
