Hundreds of children will participate in a flash mob to observe the global day of action in support of child health and nutrition in the capital Friday, organisers said.
Several children’s organisations, including Save the Children, World Vision and Children’s Campaign-NINE IS MINE, which are leading the global campaign in India, will participate in the event.
The children will gather at Central Park in Connaught Place at 5 p.m. to participate in the flash mob, which will begin with a flash mob dance with children breaking out in a dance sequence to attract public attention, organisers said.
It’ll be followed by a flash freeze, in which children will remain motionless for a few moments flashing fruits and placards to highlight the situation of malnutrition. The flash noise will come next in which participants will bang plates and spoons to symbolize unavailability of food.
