Kingfisher Airlines’ staff goes on hunger strike over non-payment of salaries

Kingfisher Airlines has made the news again as a section of its employees went on a hunger strike on Thursday, demanding immediate payment of salaries pending since last August.

The airline has been grounded since October 2012 and lost its licence in December 2012.

“As many as 60-70 employees are currently on an indefinite hunger strike at the Kingfisher Housenear the domestic airport,” a source told PTI. The airline’s spokesperson could not be reached for a comment.
