L.R. Berger has been the grateful recipient of fellowships and awards for her poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts, the PEN New England Discovery Award, the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, MacDowell, the Blue Mountain Center, Hedgebrook, and was Visiting Artist at The American Academy in Rome. Her collection of poems, The Unexpected Aviary, received the Jane Kenyon Award for Outstanding Book of Poetry. Her new collection of poems, Indebted to Wind, was published August 2021 by Deerbrook Editions.
