Matt Benson is a former British diplomat and civil servant who served across West Asia, Africa and South Asia, including postings in Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Lebanon, Palestine, Pakistan and South Sudan. He quit after a 15-year career to become an investigative journalist focusing on Indigenous struggle, government and institutional corruption, and resistance to fascism. He has written about conflicts, humanitarian emergencies, fragile states and the politics of resistance.
