Tessa Laing is a researcher and community organizer from New Zealand, who has spent the last five years living and working among communities in Northern Uganda. She is currently embarking on a PhD in development studies at Cambridge University, focusing on grassroots community organizing and relationships between government, communities, international organizations and NGOs.
