– 1000 NYC students protest the proposed elimination of free stuff that they didn’t earn….
– In Berlin, 10s of thousands of Germans protested not being given free stuff that they didn’t earn…
– Doctors in Mass volunteer to take the place of the monkeys in the NASA radiation experiments…
What the hell is this world coming to? Note to students: study more. Note to Germans: work more. Note to doctors: stick to your field, helping humans.
I’m not sure how it works where you live, but when I was a kid I would walk down the block, then jump on a bus that took me directly to and from school every day. I didn’t have to pay for this free service nor do I recall having to EARN it. In New York City, bus service is not available all students, so many of them have to take the subway to get to school. Why should they have they have “study harder” harder to earn a ride to school? Does that mean if you didn’t study hard enough and have poor grades you should lose your ride?
